After everything I plan to do to it, this is what the final project should look like. Including the 1JZ-GTTE under the hood.

I had changed my mind as to what I wanted on it many times, especially when I got rid of the white edges off of a Supra emblem that I was going to put on there, but after I finished the painstaking work, I dumped the idea. Now that you mentioned it, I might later go back and finish the picture, as all I'd do is make the rest of teh winsheild tinted, add the blue again, and take out the foglight (my custom cold ram air design)

Agreed. Cars come with the correct badging from the factory. Toyota was pretty sure that the car was a Supra when it rolled off the line and not a DMC.

Unless Delorean snuck in one of his crapmobiles to see if the Toyota could put it together better, of course Razz

Bullshit, the DeLorean was built better than any domestic ever will be. It cant even be concidered a domestic, being built with a Lotus design and chassis, also built outside of america and over the pond. I say fuck you guys, when it is fast I can rice it out as much as I want (not like gaytezzas) and its my car anyways. I personally think it looks good, so fuck you, its my car.

Besides, IF I were to drop in (SOMEHOW) a Supra engine (7M, 1JZ, 2JZ...) into a Corolla, it would be fitting to have something that says "powered by Supra", so if I somehow can get DeLorean parts for the gullwing conversion, I think its only fitting and no different than putting a GReddy sticker on if you have a full exhaust.

oh yes, any car that runs 17.9 in the 1/4 is just a total beast... :-/ the delorean was a joke and a failure...

Lets compare a So-Called Sports Car to my 4 door family sedan...

Corsica:
Weight 2885
TOP SPEED: 110mph (governed)
1/4 MILE: 16.2
Lateral Accel: ?? Not Quite sure
HP: 160hp
Torque: 180ft-lbs

Delorean:
Weight: 2840
TOP SPEED: 109mph (not governed)
1/4 MILE: 17.9
Lateral Accel: .772g
HP: 140.9
Torque: 153.4ft-lbs

Just thought i'd mention that... also, sure it would be neat to see doors like that, but supra doors are HUGE, and when i priced out how much it'd cost... that was for 1 door... and how can you be so sure that lifts from the delorean are gonna work on the supra? and also the fact the Deloreans still are at around 15k for a 'decent' one

Orion-Don't you ever get sick of people bagging on you constantly? Have you ever realized that nobody can seem to agree with you or believe what you say? Are you familiar with the meaning of the phrase "overstay your welcome"? Ever take a hint?

STFU guys, its my car not yours, I dont give a damn if you dont like it. Just be patient, it'll happen. I'm used to people bagging on me, but it'll be an accomplishment, a start to being a custom car. And I'll like it.

The DMC-12 was ORIGINALLY going to be a performance car, but never made it. Besides, removing one cat on it = 1O HP. I doubt the DeLorean supports will fit the Supra as well. I'll be using stronger ones.

also... as far as gullwing doors go on cars...

BRICKLIN>DELOREAN...

The bricklin was a much cooler gulwing door car, came with a rollcage and a bunch of other goodies stock, it was also much faster and i think even lighter

oh, btw, what were you thinking??? you remove one cat on almost any car and you gain hp. if you put a gullwing door on your car, and even some DMC supports, that doesn't mean your whole car is "powered by DMC". cmon, think about what you are doing. even hondas keep their own H symbols on or they take them off, but don't replace them with anything else.

There's a ricer, then there's a honda. There's a racer, then there's a Supra.

Pick one. You are contradicting yourself. The 2JZ AE86 that runs 9s has a Supra emblem on it. So its gay and ricey.

So you dont do what YOU want to YOUR car? Just follow other people? Hmm.

Now that was just retarded. I still stand by my earlier words. Even if a DMC emblem doesnt belong on a Supra, and I know it doesnt. It'd still look cool IMO.

You are no smarter. You dont know what an avatar is and you use a Prelude for "speed". Wow.

Wow what the **** are you trying to do buddy. you are disgracing the supra by putting that emblem on. As for putting the gullwing doors on your car, you better be ready to spend alot on that unless you are skilled enough to do the fabricating yourself. You might aswell just buy a delorean you jackass instead of disgracing a supra. Its always going to be a supra so your going to have to like it.

Congradulations! If you had waited a few more monthes, you couldve had a whole YEAR on this topic. Notice how long of a gap there had been since I last posted.

First of all, the whole DMC emblem idea was dropped not even a month after I first had it.

Secondly, I did not originally have a car, and I was 14 when I thought it up. Now that I have it, its an 88 which means that there is no 89+ center part to put it on and it'd look retarded next to my "Toyota" emblem up there!

SupraMkIV: Why do you care if I were to disgrace the "Supra"...I mean its "just an MkIII" right Roll Eyes Roll Eyes. Cheapest DeLoreans tend to be $12,500+, and I dont have that money, nor the patience with how slow they are. Not to mention incredibly hard to find locally.

That being said, for some reason I still would like to do this, though it sure as hell isnt going to happen within a year or two, though I would be doing it myself and more than likely out of carbon fiber. I wouldnt settle for a half ass hack job anyways.
