ya i was wondering how much hp the stock 1jz could hold up to?

my guess but im saying 6-700 hp

my friend has a 1jz in his 89' and we put the turbos up to 15 psi and it was fine we averaged the car stock with all stock internals and everything could hold between 4-600hp i wouldnt try to go higher than 425 thats how much his is and its sound like its hitting its limits but hasnt died out or "burnt out" his internals,electrical or clutch hope this helped you.In my opinion i wouldnt push it more than 450hp

it sounds like it's hitting it's limits cause of the stock twins. change them out to a single and u can take a 1jz over 800 rwhp on a stock block and it will take that beating daily, trust me i know. 1jz rods are stonger than 2jzgte rods, shorter and thicker means stouter. just do not detonate the car ie.... running lean and u'll be fine.
