anyone wanting a y pipe modification dont despair if you are having trouble getting them, I have sourced a custom manufacturer and they are $500 Australian + freight (AUS$500 is about US$350 depending on the exchange rate coating is an extra $400aus if you want it coated. Just done it to my 1jzgte in a supra mk4 and the difference was amazing getting it dynoed this week will tell you the difference here, anyone wanting it can email me suprasimon3000@yahoo.com

you will need to cut the downpipe to fit the modded pipe or is it a stock blot in replacement?
a little pricey too. ----------------------------- the jizza is back |

yeah you have to mod the downpipe as it dumps further down , expensive i know but thats what he wants for them although they are a work of art as for the exchange rate check exchange rate as thats just a guess from my conversion on local exchange

Just querying who this supplier is, as there have been a few of them.
$500 is more than he was asking, but is cheaper if you have a JZA70 as there is less bends. I'm getting lifter noise on startup, have either of you got this and do you know if it can be stopped and how? Ta |

OK, thats good, but how do I stop it. I'm looking to sell my car and it is quite disconserting. (also makes noise for 2 seconds).
If you dont know, who would. |

So helpful. Since you talk about cars all the time on this board, I thought you might actually know something useful.

no, seriously; the only way to tell is if the problem lies there is to take the head apart and look for signs of wear. it is most likley the fact that the head is the last place to get oil upon start-up, so the valvetrain might rattle until it gets oil. i am sorry if that came off bad. really, if you think it needs to be fixed take the cam covers off and look for excessive wear.
