Im in the process of a swap and I wanted to know, what are the essential pin outs.
This is the same ECU i have, and i have changed from Auto(tragic) to Manual gearbox. http://www.trackdaymedia.com/~manny/Tech%20&%20Diag/1JZGTE__JZZ30__pinouts.pdf Im only concerned with the two right plugs. EX. is the pin EGW - Exhaust gas warning light. pin ELS - External Load Impute. pin TE1 - Diagnostics Plug pin E1 - Diagnostics Plug These are my main concerns however, will not attaching any of the AT plugs cause problems? as I said I have changed to manual. |

you will want to actually wire up your ELS. It's not required, however your engine will not idle up properly when you do things at idle, such as turning on windshield wipers, head lights, power steering, a/c, fans, or anything electrical that draws load.
Actually you could stall your engine under certain circumstances if you don't hook up your ELS ... I've been told you can use an A/T ecu with a manual tranny and be OK, although I have never personally tried it. Not like you have much of a choice anyways, Soarer 1JZ m/t ecu's are not very common! ========================= 92 Cressida TT (1JZ-GTE) 93 Camry V6 94 Supra TT |
