hey i got questions bout the 1.5jz thing so the blocks swap aprently so that would logically mean that the heads swap and also that you would be able to use the badass stuff for 2j heads manifolds, cams and things of that nature can i get some feedback had anyone done this or anyone know anything about it

But swapping the 2JZ block, you get a bump on displacement from 2.5 to 3 lts. You still need 1JZ cams. You can't swap the 2JZ head manifold 'cause the ports are in different locations.

I have one question about this Subject...

Could you actually Use a 1JZ BLOCK and put the 2JZ head on it, with turbo, cams, headers intake manifold, etc?

Cuz Im doing the 1jz swap and the 1jz fits with minimal mods as compared with the 2jz.

SO will 1jz block with 2JZ head make that 1.5Jz?

no the 1j head with the 2j block is the 1.5j due to the increase in displacement my question is will the head mate since the block mates and if so this solves the problem of finding bad ass parts for the 1j head and the 2j head is supposed to flow better anyway.

The thing with the 1.5jz is you take the 2jz block with 1jz head. You get the displacement from the 2jz block. You then port and polish the 1 jz head, which gives you absolute max flow. As far as teh cams fiting, i have no clue, but i sopose you could get them to with a small amount of modifications....

Who needs a big block when you can get more horsepower for less with a Turbo |6?

Cams are not interchangeable between either head.
Different journal sizes. You can have the journals cut down on 2J cams to fit 1J head.
Why go thru the trouble? 1J cams can be purchased on ebay.
