lotsa extra work involved. You'll have to swap out the front crossmember in order to put the engine into your car. Typical cost of swap is 6-8 grand, depending on what kind of mods you do and such. Also, remember that you are NA and you'll be going turbo, so that could cause you to want some additional stuff like an LSD and a boost guage.
Perhaps you should look into buying a supra that already has a 1JZ in it, that was formerly NA and only needs a couple tweaks to be complete. Hold on, I've got one of those for sale. Check it out:

I have an 86.5 sup w/ a 1jz. I havent spent over 4000 including the purchase of the car.
Like he said motor mnts, crossbrace and other things. It took me a year to get the car running but thats cause I had no job. Check my sitewww.geocities.com/supratrbox2/hot_wheels.html and see.

you must have gotten an incredible deal on all of your parts and car in order to have bought the car and completed the swap for less than 4 grand. I believe that the majority of people who have done the swap agree that it takes around 6 grand to do the swap, more if you do a lot of mods at the same time. You must be very special to have done it all for so little.

I had 2000 grand and he told me thats all it cost, when I went there he said it was more but I said Im not drivin back to south Jersey to get more money. So He gave it to me for 1800 w/ blitz ecu, bilstien shocks and springs, and everything else I needed. EXhuast tubes was free, and I did all the work myself. For not knowing what I was doin I did pretty good. All I know are muscle cars.

Dont get the motor unless it is a clip. A world of headaches will arise if you get just the motor. You still need a bunch a parts.

If your still thinking about doing the swap it is not as hard as they say. I did it in my mkii. The biggest problems were the crossmember, driveshaft, and the wiring harness. The bigest problem was the harness but I have figured out a way to get around that. After everything was done the car was discustingly fast.
