You have done a 1JZ-GTE into a MKIV NA? Did you use a clip or what? Thanks, W.

i used the complete 1j engine with my 2j mounts and it bolted right up, had to make a custom downpipe though. i also had to use the 2j water pump and a/c. everything else is mkiv.

yes, been trying to find out if the top of a 1jz (head, intake and xhaust manifold, turbos intake piping and intercooler will fit on a 2zj-ge shortblock for quite a while and what would have to be done to do the electronics. it would be a simple install and you would have a 3.0 litre twin turbo. emissions do not matter, however the ecu on an auto does. OR swap the whole thing into a NA MKIV. W

well i dont think the coolant ports will line on the head. also, and this is just my opinion, i wouldn't swap the top end because the stroke of the 2jz is longer there for the turbos would be too small, and if you got the 2jz turbos you would have to fabricate a header because the stud pattern is differant. also the electronics would be such a pain in the @ss. id say swap the whole engine... it drops right in and bolts right up to the tranny.
