I read alot but still didnt find the answer I was looking for. I have a 87 supra na 5spd and am thinking about going 1JZ but I was wondering if I would have to get the 7mgte wiring harness? Or can I use my stock na harness? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

when you order one it should come with a harness.

make sure you either get the whole front clip or an engine with a whole harness. Also remember that your n/a W58 trany will probly fail on you under that power, so you might as well upgrade to the R154.

so.... you could adapt the harness to work.... but its alot more work and money to get it running then buying the engine with the whole harness. everything is possible with enough money. |

Sorry guys I asked the wrong question. What i meant to ask was as long as I get a 1jz with complete 1jz engine harness and 1j ecu then I can basically ditch my 7mge engine wiring and ecu is this correct? And can someone tell me honestly how big of a pain is it to wire it in?
Thanks guys |

it took me three days. and im still fighting with the crank and cam sensor wiring. king cobra just gave me the advice i needed on how to get it to work. also you will have to change the plugs under the dash. if you need any diagrams i have some.
