I've heard nothing but "dont do it"s, and "just go with 1JZ" for this idea. Which is why I'm going 1JZ and not 2JZ. Engine size problems or something. I could be wrong though, as its not uncommon, but I wont stop you from trying. Unless if the Mk3 is NA, I've heard theres a surprising difference there.

I'm looking for an '88 MA70 white/cloth manual stock for my first car, then swapping motors:love the 1JZ-GTE. Orion's Supra fund-o-meter: $1339

If youve got the engine go for it.. its more difficult than a 1JZ swap but far from impossible and just needs a bit more work.

Arnout has done it on www.supras.nl .. you'll find info on there.

why not drop the 2jzgte in a mk2 body. it has been done before by a guy named Norbie. right after the swap with the bone stock 2jzgte he was running low 12's. i have some videos of his dyno if you guys want it.

Agent89 and a few other people have already done it on this forum, plus I plan to. I've heard that as far as engine swaps go, it's pretty easy. The cost depends on how much you get the 1JZ for, and whether or not you already have the Mk3 (1986.5-1992 Supra), not to mention if you are doing it yourself rather than labor and having someone else do it. Google it, there are people who've done it and posted it on websites.

If you had an 89 or knewer crossmember could you get a 1jz or 2jz bellhousing and bolt it up to the r154? Then buy a single turbo manifold from suprastore.com and whatever kind of turbo you want, have custom piping done with intercooler upgrade, and wouldnt this fit just fine? Or would the single turbo manifold they sell on supra store not work?
