Hey guys, well i want to put the 1jz in my car and i have an 87 turbocharged supra. so i understand that i will need a new subframe, a new bellhousing plus wiring harness.
1)Is it a pretty easy swap and would it be around the same work to put the 2jz in my car? 2)Would it be more beneficial to go with the 2jz even though they are the same blocks? 3)Also can i put 2jz parts on a 1jz motor? I would like to put the 2jz in but if its easyer to do the 1jz then i will probably go that way. thanks for the help and if my post is confusing then sorry and just write to me about what your confused about. |

to question 1, its an easy swap, a 2jz swap will be a headache . trust me. you can get a bellhousine with a swapkit on ebay,
to question 2, my 1jz is pushing 500+ now, and It was an easy swap, how much power can you need? slap a 2jz crankshaft , rods, and pistons in your engine, ask a machine shop to do it.Its not TOO hard ~charlz~ |

Awesome. Well thanks for the reply. Yea, iam going with the 1jz but it will be awile before i get it in. so would the swap all together cost about 3000$ with out installation and with installation about 5000$ to 6000$. O yea sorry for all the questions but how much does the bellhousing and a swap kit cost. again sorry for all the questions and thanks.
