I located a 93 n/a with 80,000 miles on it for about 12k . Im currious what it would take to get about 300 hp out of the car as a n/a . I also mean real hp not from nos . The tt would be fun Im just not a fan of the price tag . The largest concerne is that I dont feel that most people propperly maintenance turbo cars . You know turbo timers and scheduled oil changes . So any one with educated bpu suggestions on a n/a supra would be much appreciated .

That's not a bad price for a 93 model with 80k miles on it. If it was any other car, it wouldnt be worth 12k, example a 3000GT or a 300zx.
Lets see, the Supras are 320HP to the crank and about 250RWHP. So I'm guessing when you say 300HP, you mean to the crank as well. BPU on an N/A Supra would be pretty basic. Get a intake, catback exhaust, downpipe, and do some weight reduction mods if you can such as seats/carbon fiber hood, etc. Usually you automatically get some weight savers with aftermarket performance mods anyway like aftermarket exhaust and downpipe. Overall, when and if you acheive your 300HP to the crank, don't believe it will be anywhere NEAR the pulling power of a twin turbo supra, but nevertheless, a nice looking car with some decent HP for its price and looks. Its up to you and the size of your wallet. But unless you're looking into getting a TT Supra, do not spend more than 3k in mods for that N/A IMO. It IS a 93 with 80k miles on..for $12k or not, you dont want to sink TOO much money into it. Tony -97 3000GT VR4(modded) -03 350z Touring(modded) |

btw....have you already bought this vehicle or just found it somewhere and might buy it?
Unless you looove the supra that much and accept the fact its a 93 N/A, Look into other cars. For 12k, you can get a nice low miled 3000GT vr4 for that price and tastefully modded too. If you rather have it stock, there are plenty of guys who keep theirs stock. We're talking vr4 here btw, not the N/A 3000GT The VR4s come with Twin TD04 9b turbos and pump out 245AWHP, just like the Supra. its AWD, you dont have to worry about traction. And it looks quite sexy Its up to you. For the $12-$15k mark, do not think your choices are limited in anyway. GL with it all. Tony |
