I installed my boost gauge and when i started the car, the needle went down to Vac. at about 18~19. But when i rev up the engine the needle only goes to zero and never on the boost side of the gauge. It does the same thing when its in gear too. Is it possible that i did not connect the vaccum hose correctly or maybe a broken gauge. Or even worse i may have a boost leak? It dont think that it is my turbo, because I hear it spooling and the BOV releasing the air, when i let off. So the boost is there, it just seems like the gauge isnt reading it.
By what you discribed ther is nothing wrong with the gauge , it can't be leaking because your vac is good. Did you drive the car? Eny turbo car WILL NOT MAKE BOOST WITH OUT LOAD EVEN IN GEAR.
Well, no. When i was testing the boost gauge i had the car on jack stands. So i was testing it while it was in gear. BUt like you said i guess it wasnt making boost because there was no load. Thanks for you help! (man i love this board )
