My questions relate to the peak boost reading & one other setting:

* Assuming the unit is set to read PSI, is the peak hold boost value the absolute max PSI reached, or is it PSI 'OVER STOCK'? (i.e. 11.7 (stock) + additional psi delivered by the controller).

* For the Supra TT does this unit need to be set to WG or AC?

peak value allows you to boost the car and then look at the controller later to see the max boost you got during that certain time (absolute max). WG

OK thanks. So you're saying i shud be set to AC.

And you're also saying the boost reading is the true boost reached, not some value over the stock value?

For some bizarre reason the highest reading I can force out of this unit is about 8.5 (regardless of the boost settings) which isn't even approaching the stock 11.7 psi. Odd! Apparently i need to have this installation rechecked (or somethin's broke!).

[I'm having a boost gauge installed next week so obviously then i'll have a much better handle on the true reading.]

in the boost setting, check to see if it's set on manual or auto. Manual is what you need to be running and that is a percentage of above boost. 0 would be stock. anything higher would be a percentage of that. that might be your problem

OK thanks 4 your reply. Yes, it's always been set to 'manual'. And just to continue to clarify... you're saying that if boost is set to 50 then i'd be asking for max boost of 11.7psi (stock) + another 50% of 11.7 = total of about 17.5psi? That seems to be what you're saying but i must say it seems a bit odd because then you could never do more than double your boost. Well, this should all be much clearer when i get that boost gauge installed.
