I have decided on my exhaust (Blitz) but now I need to decide on a downpipe. I can't decide whether to get one with a high flow cat or one without a cat. I feel having a cat will keep the noise down a little and also keep my exhaust fumes smelling better at the red lights. I have been looking at the RMM, SUPRASTORE and Titan Motorsports downpipes and they all seem the same. I have also looked at the SUPRASTORE downpipe with a cat but the pipe looks funny. It appears to have a seam to the upper part of the pipe.

How much power will I loose with a high flow CAT?

I just put the Random Tech downpipe and high flow cat on my '98. I was impressed with the quality and fit. It consists of two pieces: the high flow cat that replaces the 1st stock cat, and then the pipe that goes back to the exhaust. I think this design buys you some ground clearance.

My brother has the suprastore downpipe on his '94, and he's had no problems with it.

but think of the practicality you have emissions and your live in a area where you do have to get emissions.

if noise and smelly exhaust are your enemy then keep the stock cats but a no-cat dp really makes a huge difference in the car. buy a used piece or get one off ebay.

I guess it all depends on what you want the car for like a weekend cruiser or a daily driver if you are going to do that but I would recomend getting the CAT unless you have a hook up.

Theres no emissions in Florida. I have no cat on my car and I don't smell anything. Just make sure youre exhaust sticks out the back a just bit. It will help keep the fumes out side and not trap them under the car.

It just depends on you if u really want the CAT or not. But i prefer no cat because you wouldnt loose any Horeses and it doesnt really have a smell because i have an tanabe dp and have a Blitz Nur spec exhaust system and it doesnt make any smell at all..
