I was recently on www.elprototypes.com/catalog-ecu.htm and they had ecu reprogramming availible for TT supras for 1350.
They are saying that it will give 100/108 bhp/tq to any twin turbo supra. They raise the boost to 17-18 psi, remove traction control and speed limits, more agressive fuel and timing maps as well as fuel cut removal. You can also raise the rev limit to the customomers choice. They can also make custom programs for any modifications like you may have like a downpipe exhaust, cam gears etc... The price of ecu reprogramming is 1350, have you guys heard of this, is it worth it, is this true? Thanx, Straight6 |

Are they doing this on a dyno with a W/B or are they simply mailing your ECU around with mods based on what you tell them about your car? If not on a dyno with a W/B then no way!
BTW - I saw that same sort of power increase in th emidrange with my AEM simply by using the better sequencing of the twins from the basemap. Toyota really setup the sequencing badly for full power... 1995 Supra TT, T-78, FMIC, AEM ECU tuned by ME |

You are right, 1350 for ecu tuning is expensive compared to the aem unit, and you have to mail your ecu in and tell them the mods, not dyno tuning.
I was not aware of the bad tuning of the stock twins, suprises me that a company like toyota would do such a thing. |
