from a roll or from a dig? he will get you from a dig, from a roll you should pull on him, if you know how to drive. should be a fun race.. get it on film so we can share it.

From a dig the sti will definitely beat you.. Ive have a supra now and an 05 sti.. from a roll the supra will definitely take the sti though.. the sti really doesnt have mid range power.

Id like to disagree on that, the STI does have decent mid-range power, it does pull like a raped ape on the highway also, from 20MPH rolls the STI does pose a threat. What kind of mods are done to the Auto? boost controller?, FMIC? if not then even from a dig I think you would get a run for your money.

not that im an expert in allwheel drive cars and i certainly havent raced one or in one but car and driver posted around a 13.5 in a mk4 tt and around 13.2 in an sti. although they had a closed track and three days to tear the crap out of the cars to post the best times the difference in winner or loser with stock cars can definitely be the driver. the all wheel drive advantage is great and the weight difference is more pronounced from a stop but id say its definitely possible to win. maybe not by a huge amount but what is that notorious phrase from our favorite picture. "an inch or a mile, winning is winning." itll be interesting to find out but id give the sti the better odds.

They are both very fast cars. But contrary to popular belief, the awd is Much harder to launch from a dig. If the sti driver can't keep it together on the launch, the race is probably yours. But it should be very close. I was looking at financing an sti, but like all of us here....the Supra shone above the rest Smile
