3 feet of -6 AN steel braided fuel line $12.95

3271-06-45 DEGREE 45' ALUMINUM #6 HOSE END / 6AN $11.99

3271-06-90 DEGREE 90' ALUMINUM #6 HOSE END / 6AN $11.99

2 of these:
-6 AN hose end to 12 mm x 1.25 in., anodized blue $6.95 each

I'm going to assume you know how to take the intake manifold off. It'll make doing this mod a hell lot easier. My guidelines are very vague so you will need to know basic stuff on your car.

***YOU WILL NEED TO CUT THE SS BRAIDED LINE. I HAVE TO CUT IT A FEW TIMES BEFORE I CAN GET IT TO BE THE PERFECT LENGTH. TO BE SAFE YOU WILL CUT IT ABOUT 20". YOU WILL ACTUALLY ONLY NEED LIKE 19 IF YOU WANT A PERFECT STRAIGHT LINE.***


This is what the parts look like when you receive it:


This is the part that will connect to the fuel line:


Screw the red bottom part of and get the fuel line in there:


Then put the blue part in and start screwing it in. Make sure the SS line doesn't get out loose:


This is what the final product should look like. I have an extra stuff on the end because I'm installing a fuel pressure gauge at the same time (here's the PN from Summit if you want it EAR-100199ERL):


This is what the stock feed line looks like. I have a T in the line as you can tell, yours prob won't have it so don't worry:


Just take out the old feed line and install the new one. You might need to PB Blast the end on the fuel filter. You might as well change the fuel filter while you are at it (Toyota PN 23300-49195).

at a glance i thought that doing this mod would give more fuel but scarifice fuel pressure. so what exactly does the fuel dampener do?

Supposedly because of the dampening pad in the fuel line from the filter to the rail, it restricts fuel in the upper RPM ranges.

That's only a myth and can't really be proven. Some members said their car was starving around 5-6000rpm and when they did this mod, it went a little richer. Also it looks cleaner.

Getting rid of the dampening pad is just another way of making sure there's nothing to prevent fuel from going to the rail as quick as it can.

i think the biggest upside of doing this mod is preventive maintenance by replacing rubber hoses with SS hoses which will never wear out. this will probably allow you to also safely add alcohols to your fuel tank to gain some octane with out destroying you fuel lines.

u GUYS can do three things:
1. Just add a walbro high pressure GSS341 pump . u will notice the car will run richer( base fuel pressure will increase from 43 to 48 to 50 and at WOT at full boost say 20 psi it will go to 70 psi instead of 63 psi before)
2. just make a adapter in place of the fuel damper and use the stock fuel line. it will serve its purpose easily ..
