I want to know it it beneficial to get hks 264 cam for a bpu supra?
Are there noticable power gains from those cams with the stock hitachi's? Is it worth getting a set? |

At 21psi or so it is my opinion you will see gains from 5500 rpm's onward. Given the air flow and lift and duration of the larger cams it would be beneficial. Low-end will suffer a bit.

My best friend's heavily modded M3 is closing up on my BPU+. Getting 264 cams have been on my mind for sometime but there's precious little info on how effective these are on BPU cars. Does anyone know how many horsepower can I expect from a pair of 264 cams with roughly the same mods as following running 18psi?
ported head and exhaust, ARC titanium 3" exhaust, stock turbos, HKS FMIC, Fluidyne radiator, e-manage, Greddy BCC, Techedge wideband running 13 at WOT, Chris Bergemenn HPF mod with wastegate actuator disabled, Apexi intake. As Mark opined, improvement after 5,500 rpm is what I'm after but question is whether the mod is worth the money. Many thanks in advance. Michael |

cams are not worth it for stock turbos....
i see you can still use cam gears, lightened f.w, pulleys, if you want full BPU+++++ or you can always do a small 50shot or 100shot direct port, problem solved |
