Okay fellas I have a bpu supra and I want to put a greddy bov on my car. I heard that if you put on a bov that vents to the atmosphere that this will cause a rich air/fuel ratio that will cause the car to stumble between shifts.

Is this true, is there a way around this with the stock MAF, what is the best location to at least reduce the affects of this.

Thanx,

Straight6

I've personnaly been and driven cars so equipped and never had a problem. You will be fine, don't worry. Yes it will create a rich spot, but no biggy.

what Olivier said is true.....you will have no problem at all, I have a 1993 6spd BPU++ and have never had any problems with stumbling or hesitation....it will run a bit rich but no biggy at all.

if anything weld your aftermarket BOV to a hardpipe and leave the stock bov at its stock location

ive got the greddy type s... and they removed the stock bov when they installed it...

if after a hard shift i take it out of gear... the engine stalls...

also some times does it after some hard driving... and then i go to low speed cruising...

ive been told its the MAF

"Even if you spend $20,000 fixing up your civic its still going to be a civic. My supra... well its a Supra."

I took out my stock bov, and i have a hks ssqv mounted on my fmic piping, havent had any problems with it yet. Dont worry about putting on the greddy bov, but if you want to be safe, just leave your stock bov on.
