how do i check the timing specs? and vacume leaks...like the bare vacume i have that WAS attached to the speed control actuator?

i may seem stupid, but where and how much do i get the timing gun...grr, ok, i might just pout the SCA back in, just do im not over complicated.

o, and if it is less thn 8 degrees @ TDC than what adjustments would i have to make?!...j/w

also might try just tuniing down ur idle... on the top of the motor there is this weird looking silver tubee wiht a black cap over it ...pop the black cap out and stick a screw drivier in there and tune down... thats how i fixed my idle problom a yr or two ago..

Sounds like the throttle cable is hung up somewhere. It happened to mine when I swapped my engine. Check the linkages and cables
