You are risking a chance of getting yourself stranded and may even cause damage to your engine so don't risk it. a water pump is very easy to install in the 5MGE. It doesn't run inside of the timing cover and that makes it a whole lot easier. YOu'll need to take off the radiator shroud including the fan clutch. *Disconnect the battery just to be safe* once you have taken those off, you'll need to loosen up your alternator just so that you can adjust it enough for you to remove the belt that runs on it to the water pump. Now, once you have done that, simply unbolt the water pump and *carefully* hit it out "if you have to" than the water pump should fall right off. easy huh, just time consuming... hopefully this will help. ^_^

Yep... it just all depends on which type of durability you are looking for. YOu can hit to the nearest Autozone and get one for a pretty good deal. They sell GMB water pumps and its aight but you do get a life time warrenty on it. I know because I work there... It shouldn't be hard to disassemble one of your MA60.
