I am looking for some info for my 83 MA-61. I am looking to see what tranny's came in them. Right now I have an auto. I am also looking to see if anyone knows who carries a Limited slip for it. I am also looking for aftermarket Torque convertors. Planning on dropping in a 7m-gte eventually and want something to hold up to the power that I would be able to push out of it. Any help would be appreciated.

LSD was standard equipment on P-type MkII's, and optional on L-types. If you don't have one already it shouldn't be hard to find one from a wrecked P-type.

What is the difference between the P-type and the L-type. Also do you know the tranny model #?

The most obvious difference between the two is the wheelarch extensions; P-types have them, L-types don't.
The transmission code for the 5-speed is W58, while the auto is A43DE (I think). Norbie! http://www.norbie.net |

I am kind of new to the Supra's. What exactly do you mean when you are talking about the extensions. Are those the front or rear Wheel Arches. And are the wheel arches the fenderwells?

Another visble difference between p-type and l-type is the front turn signals. the p-type wraps aroud the front corners where as the l-types do not.
