While driving tonight my O/D light started flasing and my speedometer stopped working. Any ideas on what to look for?

I plan on taking a look at it tomorrow, but if anyone could point me in the right direction that would help. Thanks.

Hold on, don't bother replying. The problem has been found and fixed. There is a little adapter at the end of the speedometer cable where it mates to the transmission. The short run of cable inside this adapter was broken. Apparently the car catches a loss in the speedometer cable drive and triggers the flashing O/D light. Not sure but I think it also triggered a check engine light when I reached higher RPM.

All seems well now, I found the part at "you Pull it" junkyard for $3. I was lucky because the dealership wanted $90.

Just thought I would let you all know. If I sound off base on the Check Engine light, please respond.
