Us Mk2 guys don't have our own section. We're down here in the "what's left over" area.

Nice smile

Oh well...at least we have a section on here.

My car is 19 years old - pretty soon there won't be any Mk2 Supras on the road anyway.

I plan on keeping mine for a while yet. After all the pain I've been through with my 2JZ engine conversion, I don't think I could ever sell it!

BTW I just finished fitting the engine with the newly modified crossmember, it's all bolted in now and everything is sweet. I can't believe how perfectly everything lines up! The curve of the oil pan matches the curve of the crossmemver exactly, the rear turbo just clears the brake booster and clutch master cylinder, and the harmonic balancer sits just a few mm behind the swaybar. The transmission lines up perfectly with the factory mounting points, and the original tailshaft fits as well!

The fuel lines have exactly the same fittings as the old engine so they bolted right up, the alternator has the same electrical connectors as the old one so that just plugged in, and all the coolant hoses were in the right place and the correct diameter. You'd think Toyota built the 2JZ to go in a Mk2 engine bay! smile

That is soooo sweet. You are going to have one of the nicest, smoothest running Mk2 Supras on the planet!

Once you get everything dialed in, it will be time to go Mk4 hunting!

smile

Pity most of the Mk4's around here are posers with non-turbo engines and auto transmissions. Not much of a challenge! I'll probably get more competition from Skyline GTR's, 200SX's and WRX's...

I just finished putting my shiny new slotted rotors on - it looks great! Next step is to pull the trans, swap the shifter from a Mk2 trans, and put it back in with my new flywheel and clutch (when they arrive). Then the Supra will move under its own power for the first time in over 6 months. I'm looking forward to that!! big grin

Norbie,

You've got to be excited about that. I just bought new brake shoes for the front and rear - and picked up a new set of hood struts for the car too.

I still can't figure out why I can send you email, but you can't get an email back to me. Something weird is going on.

Good luck bro.
