i have an 85 that leaks coolant when it gets warm Frown i checked the hoses and they are fine. the coolant is runing down the block and coming off the oil pan. i checked in the head area and there is nothing coming from there. i also checked the freeze plugs and they are fine. i am wondering if there is a gasket where the lower radiator hose comes in to the block. it is leaking on the pasangers side of the engine in the front because it blew the anti freeze all over the exaust manifold and the oil filter. if any ideas it would be great.

If the coolant is leaking out somewhere near-to the midsection of your engine compartment, then it is likely a heater hose. Most likely, it would be the hose behind the thermostat housing & beneath the intake manifold. ..the best way to confirm this is by first removing the splash guard that is beneath the engine compartment. Then, while placing water into the thermostat housing, check to see where the leak is likely originating. (If anything, a hose may need to be either tightened, re-sealed w/ [high temp] sealant, and/or just replaced.
