If you are putting in a 7MGE might as will put in the 7MGTE and save you the headache in the future if you ever want boost. But if you do plan on doing a 7MGTE you'll need to get a donor. Do your best to find one at a pick and pull place... YOu'll need everything from that donor into your MA60. You'll have to shave off some meat to put in the 7mgte tranny. You might have to find a place where you can get the wiring done correctly so you won't have to deal with the headache. A 7mge puts out about 200 HP a little more then the 5mge... I personally like the 5mge more. than again, its up to you... You can always turbo your 5mge. now, as far as the hood goes, you get one from www.carbonfibrefx.com and you can get body kits for the MKII at www.wickedbodies.com for $100 cheaper. If you want to put MKIII's body kits on to your MKII, you might have to mold it in and many more nasty body work. hope this helps out a little...

Its all good... It takes time to learn and getting to know the car that you drive. Ask any question and me or the rest of the other supra owners will do our best to answer your questions. I myself own a '85 supra and a '89 supra turbo. I did planned on doing a 7MGTE swap on my '85 because I wanted more power but I'm too attached to the 5mge so after I put in another rebuilt 5mge I'm going to turbo it.
