What would be better for what? The 7mgte will give u the most potential for power. A 6mge would give you no advantage over a 5mgte, but if u went with a 6mgte that would work well and be the easiest swap you could do. Personally if I had the $$$ to spend, I'd ditch the 5m.

if your good with wiring, has money to spend, and knows how to do the 7m swap then by all means do it. If you dont then just stick with your 5m. Why go 6m when you already turboed your 5m. Mark on cs.com put out 271rwhp out of his 5mgte at 11psi i think it was. With just a little more boost and fuel he could have hit well over 300rwhp. My advice stick with your current setup and get more fuel and then tune it which is the KEYTHING here. If done right you will be over 300rwhp.

yes his was a great swap...but his info about putting the r154 into the mk2 being impossible is false. im not at all impressed with his car, because i know it should be running quicker than that.

I agree with you, and I was VERY disappointed to see how little rwhp he actually had.

yes...after all that stuff he put in it, he's on such little rwhp. Car should be in the 500's rwhp with all that shit he has. dont worry though. dave from cali has the 7mgte mk2 and is pushin 391rwhp and 392rwtq with only MHG and head studs with an upgraded turbo at i believe 15 or so psi. theres lots of guys up there as well and i hope to be up there by end of this year. btw in jersey theres a black mk2 runnin on 17x8 17x9 simmons with about mid 400's rwhp. the car is a show and go..hope to meet him one day

ehe..yeh pretty good indeed. hey you live in NC, you should meet up with jeff tamulis (considered the 7m swap master) as he has built some 400+rwhp 7mgte Mk2 cars. Awesome guy to talk to. Want a 12sec or lower car for under 8g talk to him. Very cool guy
