When Im comming down from a high MPH I get a smoke buld up in the cabin for a few sec's. it kinda smells funny, could it be the seal on my the back of the tranny to drive shaft and the gear oil is hitting the exhaust

Possible. Jack it up and look for leaks, signs of oil buildup, etc.
