hey guys, i have an n/a tranny and my gte engine is gonna b commin in jus a few days. i dont have the extra money to throw towards the gte tranny so im going 2 rebuild the n/a and upgrade the clutch and a couple other cheap(er) things. what r sum of the things im gonna havta look into 4 buyin, the tranny has 170k+ mi on it so its time 4 a rebuild 4 sure. does n e 1 know a good site that i can go 2 that tells a good way 2 do the full tear down?

If you are that ambitious buy the FSM they go through the tear down and components of trannies, the FSM is also online if you don't feel like shelling out the cash, as for a website I am not sure.

I spent about 400 bucks for the rebuild of my transmission. You should just buy a rebuild or get one from the junkyard for cheap. I dont think your na tranny will last very long if you turn it up.

Arent the ratios different also?
