ON my 1989 Toyota SUpra TUrbo with 160K miles on it, the auto transmission won't shift from 1st to second when cold. If I drive for like a half mile or so, it is 100% OK.

This is a new problem that I never had before. It also seems that when the transmission is cold it shifts harder into gears, you can really feel it kick in.

I've replaced the fluid on and off with redline, maybe ever couple of years or so.
WHat do you guys think, any of you ever had a problem like this?

Someone told me a good explanation for this problem we may be having TESMK3. He didn't own a supra but was a mechanic. He said that some sort of seal went bad in the transmission. When the car is cold the seal doesn't hold back the pressure or lets fluid through or something.
When the tranny warms up, the seal expands and bascially works.
I don't know exactly what the hell is in a tranny, but it seemed logical. He said that it will continue to get worse and worse, and you will need to replace those seals. I'm just going to leave it alone until it gets really bad, because as you know its very difficult to troubleshoot anything when it works sometimes and not other times.
