would a power steering pump from a 88 supra work on an 89 supra. I heard the the 89 up have the speed sensitive power steering. Would that make a difference or not.

My second question is when I try to put my car in reverse sometimes it won't let me do it. I have to depress the cluch pedal and press it again to get it to go in. Also my tranny make a loud clunk noise when I get it in reverse. It doesnt make the noise all the time only when I change from a forward gear to reverse. Is this normal or not? Thanks for your help.

Next time try to first press in the clutch shift into first and without depressing shift into reverse this should open the synchro sufficiently to allow a clean shift. mine grinds when i dont put it into first before shifting to reverse. Also, let me run a check on that pump for you. turbo or NA??

turbo's to n/a won't work and if you don't have the speed sensitive system in your car it wont work with the speed sensored pump.
