would a power steering pump from a 88 supra work on an 89 supra. I heard the the 89 up have the speed sensitive power steering. Would that make a difference or not.
My second question is when I try to put my car in reverse sometimes it won't let me do it. I have to depress the cluch pedal and press it again to get it to go in. Also my tranny make a loud clunk noise when I get it in reverse. It doesnt make the noise all the time only when I change from a forward gear to reverse. Is this normal or not? Thanks for your help. |

Next time try to first press in the clutch shift into first and without depressing shift into reverse this should open the synchro sufficiently to allow a clean shift. mine grinds when i dont put it into first before shifting to reverse. Also, let me run a check on that pump for you. turbo or NA??

turbo's to n/a won't work and if you don't have the speed sensitive system in your car it wont work with the speed sensored pump.
