I have an 89T and am having problems with the clutch sensor not sure if I'm calling it the right name. Anyway when I press the clutch in to start the car it trips or activates something which then makes the car turnover and start. However this piece has gone bad and I have to push the clutch in three or four times trying to get the car started. Usually I just press in the clutch and turn the key and it doesn't turn over. Usually it will start on the third or fourth time. However I had this problem before and I fixed the piece and it lasted about a year. I don't know whether to fix the problem again or just buy another part. Has anyone had this problem before and also how much do you think this part would cost from the dealer

You can test your start switch... place an ohmeter in the terminals of the switch. There should be no continuity when the button is free or extended (clutch out) and there is continuity with the button in (clutch depressed). If not repalce the switch. If it is I would try adjusting the clutch or switch position

What do you mean turn down the boost!?
