Hey guys, I want to swap a V160 6spd tranny with my W58 tranny. Does anyone have any info on where I purchase a 6 spd? Does anyone have any info what all has to be changed? I know it will not be easy to do but that is what I want to do. If you have a tranny for sale please email at eaglover@comcast.net

I dont think you are going to get a lot of responses here. Pretty much anybody that is in this section has a MKIII and Im willing to bet that nobody has a six speed.

You probably have an NA right? Why do you want a six speed?

First you have to install a JZ engine that the V160 will bolt up to....

i'm thinkin Vette or Viper Trans, or just modding my own stocker, welding bell housings and match input shafts are the things that makes tranny swaps alowable.

Yes, the 1JZ and 2JZ require the same bellhousing. Hence the reason a R154 and be paired with a 2JZ.

Isn't their some place that makes custom bell-housings?

Would the 6spd fit up in the MKIII?

If it didn't fit to bad, and get a bell-housing I don't think it would be a half bad idea, but then I would want to put a 2JZ in also. Can't just do one thing when it opens up more possiblities .

I don't get it why people want a 6-speed, the wrx sti is slower than the evo8 because of that reason.. I say a H nice 3-speed
remember it takes time to switch.
