Well i'm planning on swaping my 7m-ge to a 7m-gte.
And I have an automatic tranny, will my stok n/a tranny be ok, or will I have to swap that also?

I would just swap it out for a 5 spd. Less headaches later on.

Acutally, it depends. Was the 7M-GTE set up for an automatic or a manual? I did the same swap and wound up switching out transmissions because the engine wasn't set up for the automatic. That's where the real question lies. If it was setup for an auto, go with the auto. If it was for a manual, go for the manual. Also you have to keep in mind, the turbo engine has the R154 tranny where as the N/A has the W50 or W58 (i may be wrong about that depending on the year). The R154 is hella strong and can take the abuse of a heavy foot on a turbo. The others.......you may be replacing them quite often. Hope that helped you with out confusing you.

Also, you could still do the switch, but if you're trying to put an auto on an eninge setup for a manual, you got some heavy duting rewiring. You'll also need to get a new ECU for the engine. Make sure you get the right one with the correspoding code for the tranny you choose. You'll obviously need to get the one for the 7M-GTE. The codes are as follows:

7M-GT A/T = 7M-GTE with automatic
7M-GT M/T = 7M-GTE with manual
