I am hopefully getting a 1987 Supra Turbo 5spd. There are a couple problems with the car, one of which I thought I should post in here.
It has a burnt out clutch, and I am curious as to how hard it would be to replace, and what all I would need to do so.

Thanks,
Johnny

not fun on your back, but with some extensions and some time it's not bad, d/s comes off ez to get outta the way and the trans comes down, then you gotta put it back on the input shaft of the trans and tighten each bolt of the pressure plate through the service ports on the side.

Not fun, but after a couple times not bad at all.

On a lift is a lotta nicer.

i've heard 1000 bucks from the dealership before, for a stock like clutch, it's around 175-225(not oem).oem (400around)

Labor probably book is 4-6 hours/

your probably going to spend between 700-1200 dollars if toyota does it.

Some place else 500-900.

i just bought an 89 N/A Supra, the clutch was toast, nothing was on it, i am changing mine right now, just got the clutch in, honestly if your somewhat of a mechanic it's not hard other than the tranny-engine bolts and lifting the tranny back into place.
