buy a haynes or other supra manual. I have 2 different ones, and it is my bible. They are useful in all aspects and will save you a big headache. I have changed a clutch on a supra turbo, so if you have any questions, let me know.

hey, one thing i just thought of, that the book doesn't say is that you can tip the engine a little with a bar or something. it helps taking the trany off and back on. you may already know this, but I just thought I would mention it. Just dont tip it too far, you dont what to break anything.

When you tipped the engine, did you loosen the mounts first? Im at that stage; trying to get the bell housing past the firewall.

Its a bitch going back on. i did not loosen anything on the engine, but it took a while to get everything lines up perfectly, have someone turn the engine by had from the front. Try to get eh splines lined up.
Takes just the right touch, and boom, its on
good luck

you'd have been better off pulling the motor with the tranny still attached to it. WAY easier! it now takes me (depending on how i feel) 2hrs or less to get the motor/tranny out!

Yeah i know, but I dont have a hoist. So, I finally get the tranny off, and with it comes my release hub, snap ring, wave washer; pretty much the whole assembly. The back of the release hub had stripped off with the aftermarket clutch. Anyone know who makes aftermarket clutch components(not the actual clutch discs/bearing)?
