thanks for the reply shaeff. I checked the trans mount about a 2 months ago and the center big bolt was backed off quite a bit. but didnt solve the shifter issue. how besides visually torn would i know if my motor or trans mounts are damaged. it doesnt seem to have any engine vibrations and it doesnt torque over to far when you hit the throttle. also are there any aftermarket mounts for engine and trans. I saw some solid engine mounts but those are probably not streetable.

hmm, i would just look for visual breaks in them. if it doesnt torque everything over much, i suppose your mounts are probably ok. SOLID MOTOR MOUNTS! they're very streetable. you'll just feel a little more vibration with them. if you have a pre '89 car, you can weld them yourself. thats what i'm going to do. check out this thread: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3172its got some good info. good luck with your decision! you probably just need to get some good traction arms. -shaeff

im hearing some pretty mixed opinions as well. But youll never know until you try. i may just end up going with semi solids. If i go with full solids there is no way im paying 150 for them. all it is round stock cut to the right length with a hole in the center. An aquaintance of mine has a machine shop he can fab me up a set. as for the used ones i have no idea.
