I have a 88 turbo automatic. From high boosting my transmission is going to crap. I have heard of people puting 2 speed power glides in their mkiii, I was woundering what I would need to do to install one and how difficult would it be to do so?

is this car purely drag? I hope minimal of street driving on it. I imagine it would need custom work. But I will let someone that has ACTAULLY done the swap chime in.

Swapping the TH400 into a Supra is a much more popular swap. Due to the relatively high weight of a Supra the three speed with it's lower gearing seems to run faster most of the time. Here is a link to some pictures that we took when we were mocking up this swap in a GenIV for our soon to be released kit. http://www.importperformancetrans.com/view_pics.cgi

I'm working on it. The kit will be for a TH400 but should be easily adaptable to the 350 with different trans mount positioning and a different driveshaft yoke. Actually it should work for a 'Glide as well, but the mount system would need to be pretty seriously moved around.

one reason I was wanting to know how to do it is because I already have a two speed in my garage.
