If you're just looking to lower the dildo truck shifter effect, then just take the shifter out and twist the two pieces apart w/ some tools, but it will not be a "short throw shift". Suprasport sells a replica C's short shifter for about $100 less than the real deal. The shifts are nice and crisp and it's like night and day difference. The forward/back length of the throw is shortened.

Just take the boot off of the shifter with its panel, grab a set of pliers, and twist the bitch off. It should break off fairly easily; its held together by soft rubber.

Fix it yourself or don't drive it!!

p5150, do u know wut ur tellin this guy? 1st off, if u take off ur boot, there is sum rubber under it but u dont havta shred it 2 peices...i regret wen i did that 2 mine. jus take the little bolts out, shoudl b 10mm, and lift the rubber seal out. then u got 4 screws holdin in the actual shifter, should b 10mm too, when the screws come out jus pop it into nuetral and pull the shifter out. when you put in the new one make sure you dont over tighten the bolts, the heads snap off really easy.
