how strong is the stock tranny/clutch, will it put up with down shiftin at higher speeds than ur supposed to just for that extra boost cuzz i had a 94 stock celica had a 170k miles on it wen i bought it(my first car) anyway i beat the shit otutta it down shiftin blew one of the clutch disks in like a week after purchase, it was my first stick got to excited and didnt giv a shit about it, but i def care about my supra.

Well a stock 6spd can handle well over 1000hp, but the stock clutch will not be a good choice if you plan on going over stock powerlevels.

the 5 speed is durable too, & it can handle fairly above 600 HP, i read an article about NA-T down in texas with 800 RWHP and stock tranny
