Why not go for the HKS F-ConV Pro. It does everything you want. It controls boost, timing as well as alot more. I believe it goes for $1,300 plus more for the piggy-back and even more if you want the sensors. The only bad thing about it is you will have to send it to HKS or if you know someone who can program it. HKS does a great job and all you have to do is give them all the info on your motor and they have presets for it.

What in the hellhole, $1300 for a piggyback? Might as well go AEM and go fullout standalone. But still 400rwhp is PUNY. Stock ECU is find. You shouldn't even mess with timing with power goals that little.

Just get a cheap manual boost controller ($40). And what's this about "all the jaz built into it". Well what do you need? Get a cheap SAFC and tune the fuel, a bcc, and maybe a boost gauge.

you dont need anything other then stock ecu for 400hp. Also the HKS v-con pro isnt a piggyback system, I know cause Im looking into it as an alternative to the AEM. There is an HKS that is a piggyback but the PRO version is a stand alone system. BUTTTTT they run it as a piggyback off the stock becuase the stock does a better job at alot of basic things then any AEM can do, but you still get EVERYTHING that you do in a standalone system. I ahve heard that the HKS is more stable though then the AEM. Biggest problem is you have to get a HKS certified person to do it and right now ther is only one realllllly good one named Ben aka Obiwan on Supraforums. Other then that I havent heard of anyone in the US that is any good at it.

fuel tuning isnt needed for 400whp however if you want over 400whp you will need an safc. if you compare a maf vs map based unit at bpu levels you will find that the stock maf isnt a restriction and removing it isnt necessary if you are on the stockers.

Yes supra_own_u is right(thanks for explaining that for me). Sound Performance is HKS certified and Ben is part of them basically. He does do MAP ECU but has been ding the HKS Pro also. There are other people who are HKS certified but none are as highly recommended and barely any of them have actually tuned one unlike Ben who has done many as well as the one alot f people know of that supra_own_u stated, Ken Hendersons. Its hard to get anyone to do the HKS Pro that have credibilty in the states. I do know that it is extremly popular over there so maybe you can find someone out of the states that has a good repitation to do it, probably someone even more qualified then Ben. All I was trying to clarify is that it isnt just a piggyback, it is a standalone that can be ran as a standalone but is ran as a piggyback for stablilty reasons and that if anyone ever gets it to make sure its tuned by not only a HKS certified person, but a reputable one. But all of this is pointless for 400hp. If you have no want for around the 600hp mark then a safc is defenitly recommended as well as your basic BPU parts, basically follow supra_own_u's instructions.
