Anyone done this? I, like many others would like to dye my stock tan carpet black. Rather than spending the $600 for new black carpet I may try this option.
Is it difficult?
What products or tools are needed?
Any recommended dye?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have done this before on a GTO that I used to have, but I didn't change color. It shouldn't be that difficult thought. I wouldn't recommend buying the spray dye though, as it might go everywhere. If you do try it I would recommend calling a professional interior shop and buying dye that you apply with a sponge.

Also, if you try it please take before and after pictures!

Yes I've done it and its worth any penny! Best place to spend money specialy if your stock carpet is tan. But you also should get black seats. I went to bi-colored seats and it was also worth any penny. Man my car doesn't look like it would be 10 years old! Get away from tan go black!

See here the tan carpet (sorry don't have any picture with tan seats, did't took photos before swaping the leader on the seats)

And after the black carpet was build in:

And now imagine everything tan... No comment!

I like the looks of the interior, question though, how did you hook up those tweeters in the door like that?
