Hey guys, this is my first post on i-club. I have come from the WRX/STi world of tuning and now I am joining yours soon! ANyways, my gf's neighbor has a Pristine 94' NA Supra Sport roof with 75,000 miles on it, I have told him that I am very interested in it and will buy it soon. What price should I expect? I know the JZGTE supras go for way over KBB value but i wasnt sure about the NA's. Also, Does the NA have the same internals as the Turboed engines, can they withstand the same power levels from the factory?

Thank you for your advice and I am looking forward to being a new member!

thats my problem to i dont think the internals are the same due to the lower compression needed on a turbo engine my guess is u probably can switch out internals and get the same preformance and if its gonna be a project car ur probably gonna go a head and change the internals due to mileage so it can handle some turbo work

The 2JZ-GE, and 2JZ-GTE blocks are basically identical, except for minor machining differences. The GTE is intended for forced induction with it's lower compression, and different head design. The N/A MKIV's can be turbo'd with bolt-on kits, but you can't get much more than 400 hp easily. I've read that the GE internals are just as strong as the GTE, but you're still limited, due to the higher compression, as to how much boost you can stuff into one safely. If you want a high horsepower Supra, it'd prob. be easier, and cheaper in the long run, to start with a TT (GTE).

From what I understand the the ge and gte blocks have the same cranks and connecting rods the only difference between the two engines are the pistons and the heads.
