Don't need Cross-drilled and really don't want them. Can you explain why they suck in detail?

I have only heard good things about them actually. They wear out your pads faster though, and the stock rotors are best for a street application. Buy some stock rotors from Curt Aigner on these boards. They will be cheaper, and will actually function as well as most aftermarket replacements. Put the saved money towards the go-fast parts.

I have seen mixed reviews in the Mustang community. I wouldn't buy them just bcz slotting isn't something you need and it chews through your pads more quickly. Both slotting and cross-drilling of rotors are aesthetic mods only. Modern brakes and pads do not need them. They are for looks.
I'd stick with stock rotors or Brembo plain rotors. Baer, Wilwood and Stoptech are good as well. I'm just a fan of Brembo. 1997 Supra TT, 6spd |

I would rather get the plain Brembos without slots to be quite honest...but I can't find them anywhere. I called TireRack and they said it will be about 2 weeks, maybe longer, if they could get them at all. I didn't want to wait that long if I could get a comparable rotor elsewhere.
MDSuperStar - I have considered going back to stock but the center of the rotors look terrible and I have brand new Volks and am painting my calipers...it would look so much nicer if I was able to but a nice, finished looking rotor - WITHOUT HAVING TO SACRIFICE THE QUALITY. I don't want to get some cheap ass rotors that will crack just because they look good. |
