Yes a AEM ecu will let you do that. But a simple fuel controller with 2 or more channels and a boost controller will also let you do that. You just turn down the boost and run the pump gas setting on your fuel controller.
If you plan to make more than 850rearwheelhp with race gas, AEM ecu is the only way to go because the HKS VPC will max out with 850cc injectors. It has problems controlling injectors with more flow than that.

Really? I might be wrong than. But were you going to get a prom for that injector size? The biggest one I know is the 850cc prom. Sure, you can run 1000cc+ injectors or so injectors but you'll be running so rich that you're fuel controller wont be able to conpensate even if you lean it out to the max, you'll still be rich.

While you CAN run 1000ccs on a vpc.. I wouldn't reccomend it with the possible alternatives. The aem is cheap and your car will run much better.... We have seen highly modified vpc cars being inconsistent in comparison to aem cars... not to mention surging idles, no control over timing, etc -zohair jaffery 90 4g63 awd 93 2JZGE pt66, aem, almost done www.boostlogic.com

VPC's been discontinued, so you have to buy a used one. The VPC is basically plug and play compared to an AEM. Add a fuel controller and wideband and anyone can learn to street tune themselves its pretty easy.
The AEM takes a pro to reap the benefits from unless you are already pretty advanced into EFI tuning and have a lot of time on your hand IMO. If your ok with paying $$ to have some else tune it then the ECU's perfect for you. When you do any form of modification like porting the head, adding a new intake manifold, you'll have to go back and pay to get it retuned. It all adds up in the long run. Its like your on clutches, always depend on someone else. Thats what I dont like about it. ANd I guess the reason you see many used AEM ECU forsale.
My AEM ECUs been in my garage since last December collecting dust. I read through the instruction manuals that comes with the CD, its of little to no use. Its wayyy too general. If anyone want to see all the instructions, I might be able to sent it your way, two big file of 3mb each and a little one.

I think this is generally accepted wisdom, but I saw the 826 whp SPE/TRD in action and the driveability of that car is nothing short of amazing. VPC/GCC combo, VS intake, 1000 cc injectors, glass smooth idle and around town tractability like you wouldn't believe. Plus, we already know it makes great power. __________________________ Eau Rouge; Parabolica; Mulsanne; Turn 6 "Supra"....Everything else is a moving chicane.
