I'm looking at the registration and don't see any of the "big boys" from AZ registered to road race. What's missing from your cars, the brake pedal (don't tell me you guys all got parachutes now) or the steering wheel? Anyone plan on driving one of those dyno queens on a real race track?
Down her in Cali. we got BPU boys with wood dashes, who are going to be road racing, talking shit about you boys.

If I had a beat up MKIV I wouldn't mind road racing it, but thrashing a nice car is not my idea of funWink

Oh and the subject should say "Where ARE all the AZ cronies".....Wink

I must agree with 2835Dawg (eventhough I don't know him). When you drive a beater of a Supra who cares if you trash it. If I see Keith Ta road racing his widebody Supra, I will take back all the bad things I have said about the 1000 400HP Supra's in CA.

Point well taken. Too bad you boys can't drive around a track without running into things.

When you run a 10.4 on radials you'll have room to talkWink

782 RWHP and 11 second timeslips gives a whole new meaning to the term "Dyno Qheen"Wink

Can't argue with you on that 10.4 time slip either. I don't have a 10, 11 second or even a 12 second timeslip with the 782 rwhp 'dyno queen'.
The best time slip I have with her is a 2:08 (That's two minutes and eight seconds Razz) on radials at Buttonwillow big track. Big Grin

That is right becuase Tozers 1060rwhp car has a 9 sec time slip to back up the HP right. It's not a dyno Queen at all.

It must suck to live somewhere other than AZ where you can run your car at the track with LESS boost than you can dyno the car...... I thought you could do that in every state but apparently not......

Of course since Tozer never set out to either A) run 9's or B) build a drag car.....

I agree with Mani here. The whole purpose of buying a performance car like a MKIV is to drive it the way it was supposed to be driven. Not shelter it because you think there is a small chance something bad would happen. Also with 1060rwhp I'd sure hope you'd be in the 9's.

But if you don't want to risk damage to the car and you just wanna cruise, why not by a luxury car and not a sports car?

Yeah but launching a IRS especially with 1060 hp is hard. Also at that level traction becomes a huge issue.

I was trying to make the point that Tozers car never ran 9's, or ever 10's for that matter as far as I know. But if Tozers car COULD run 9's, then by the same assumption Mani's car COULD run 9's.

Not even I can do that. Although the 03 Cobra has now done 9.9's on radials, IRS and stock long block.

The only Supra I owned that did not run 10's was my original 98' BPU Supra. In 99 it was No.2 in the US at 11.1 for a Supra on the stock turbos. The only people complaining about times are those that don't have any...

I met and/or exceeded every goal I set for my Supras since 1998, including last year when I was the most powerful street Supra at the Vegas Supra meet. If I wanted to build a 8 second Supra, I could empty my daughters piggy-bank and build an automatic 8 second car.

Considering I own the largest Supra specific store in the world with multi-million dollar annual sales, I don't need a drag car or a road race car, I just need a nice looking Supra that fits my needs and makes the power I want, not want anyone else wants.

I do enjoy the internet chatter though.......from the weekend net warriors who don't own fast cars (not you Mani).
