Hey CA supra owners,

Are there any plans on caravans and room arrangements for Vegas this year yet?

Are the NorCal guys going to caravan down to SoCal then head over to Vegas together?

I don't think I will be bringing a female companion with me, so is anyone interested in sharing a room? I think I plan on staying 3 of the 4 night, not quite firm yet. I would prefer somone that I know.

Typically, how long of a drive is it? And, what kind of temperatures are we looking at. My car hasn't taken too kindly to heat in the past. And though i have a strong motor right now, the heat still makes me hesitant.
I don't know many Supra owners out here in the Bay Area, but would love to meet some.

The Socal guys are talking about meeting up in Victorville around 6:00 PM Wednesday. That way we can travel through the night over to Vegas. I'm also going to return in the cool of Saturday night. At least that's my plan.

Oh, I hadn't heard that. I knew a few MkII and MkIII guys were arranging it, and a few of the MkIV guys were going to join up with us. Maybe the MkIV guys were going to meet in Orange County and some of them were planning on joining up with us in Victorville? I don't know.

Anyway, it's about a 3 hour drive from Victorville to Vegas. Whoever wants to meet up can. I'm making my hotel reservations and going with whoever wants to join. If not I'm sure I'll see you all in Vegas!

Hey everyone, I have never been to vegas before. I've wanted to go to this for 2 years but was always too busy, and may still be this year. But I have a few questions, forgive me if they sound stupid.

1)whats the date?
2)where does everyone stay/ and the cost?

thats all I can think of right now. thanks in advance for any replies. smile

Oct 3-5 are the events (6th is Sunday)

MOST people stay at the Luxor, some stay with friends or other cheaper hotels. If you get in on the group rate (Before Sept 4th) then it's:

Wed Night: $75
Thur Night: $75
Fri Night: $135
Sat Night: $135

However most people head home Saturday night, especially if you're in the area.

Just found out that Luxor won't let anyone who's under 21 make reservations or check in alone so make sure there's someone over 21 with you! Sucks a little, but hey, cost of doing business I suppose. I'm not gonna let that hinder a great drive out there and a great drive back as well as the greatest meet in the world!

I'm going from San Fernando Valley if anyone is interested in meeting up for a full length cruise e-mail me:

I have to go to Vegas, so many Supra's, such a cool time. I love it. I wouldn't miss it!

But hey, Socalsupras meets are good too. A little more "home grown" and more enjoyable, but the Vegas meet is just purely awesome.

"The Beast" couldn't tow your ride. It would die on the uphill. It's a beast with no power, remember? We need to get my Dad a new truck I swear.

Anyway, Vegas won't be that bad a run, we're going and returning in the night, so it will be pretty cool. We'll throw my old radiator on there and you'll be fine I'm sure.

ewww...overheating up hills is not fun frown . What kind of work are you getting done to your car?
As far as Vegas is concerned...How many mkiii's typically head out? I'm gonna try to make it out there. I just turned 21 and have yet to see LV, and what better way to do it than with a caravan of awesome Supras. big grin

Vegas is a BLAST! And I know of a few people that didn't let the fact that they were under 21 stop them.

I was at a table one night with a 19 year old when he downed his 4th drink - ordered right at the bar. I also happend to be witness to a 17 year old that enjoyed the bartending skills at the America Bar at NYNY.

To the question of how many MkIIIs show up? Is 50+ enough to entice you? There have been fewer MkIIs but I hear they are really getting organized this year. The MkIV crowd always represents with quite a few Supras.

Even without the gambling, drinking, strippers, and Supras... Vegas is a BLAST!

Shoot, I'm gonna get drunk off looking at all the MkIII's! Who needs beer when you can have boost?!

SupraNick will be going to Vegas, and he WILL not overheat, I'll make sure of that. No way that car and driver are going to miss Vegas.

So far it seems like this year is going to be larger than last year, which was over 200 cars!
