There has been a huge scandal on e-bay which alot buyers are falling for. There are sellers out there who are selling products with big names such as Greddy, HKS, apex-i, AEM, etc..... and are 100% knock offs!!!

These knock off products look just like the original product and even have the same packaging. They are made in China by the thousands!! Its very hard to tell, even to the trained eye!!

There have been a huge problem with alot of high end after market parts but blow off valves specifically. There have been many customers who have purchased brand new, boxed HKS and Greddy blow off valves for $50 to $100 less then an authorized dealer. To the customer, they feel they are purchasing an original product for a great deal but once they receive the product, and after installing and using, the product ends up breaking after some time of usage.

After breaking, the customer cannot send it back to the seller, so they send it back to the original company, knowing the product has a warranty. The customer sends in the product and has it returned from the manufacturer with a note stating "the product is not made by us, this is a fake." don’t be one of these people!!!

One way to tell if your product is genuine is to see if on the box it states "made in Japan". I have included pictures of my Original and genuine Greddy BOV to let you guys know what to look out for if you have received a gimmick product. I purchase all my stuff from Suprastore.com

Nice write up. The pictures are very clear and detailed. I try not to buy anything from ebay for similar reasons. I would much rather order from supra store or *** so i know that it is genuine and i know who to talk to if i have problems. Good lookin out man. Wink

Wow. Again thanks for the great information. I had no idea that this was a big problem until your post. It seems that they are trying to copy alot of products out there and like apex said, make sure you buy from an authorized dealer!

That’s a good question SOU; I personally don’t trust e-bay for anything anymore but I don' know about the gauges nor have I heard anything about them. Money to me wasn't an issue so I’ve always purchased from known dealers such as Suprastore so I have the satisfaction of a good, quality product in my vehicle. Below I have included pictures of my guages in the boxes which I purchased from Suprastore. They were pricey compared to what you find on e-bay but I could care less about the price like I stated. If you need to reference anything from e-bay, so you can compare an original product to a gimmick, I incuded them below for you.
