Hey guys,

I am new to the whole turbo thing and was looking at this kit:

If and only if you are looking for the best quality turbo kit to install on your Supra, stop here, you've found it. We at *** have 6 years of experience working with virtually every turbo kit on the market and it is our firm conclusion that PHR consistently manufacturers the highest quality parts available to the public. Their turbos also tend to spool quicker and make more power than the others. We suspect this is because they custom build their own turbos using Garrett-manufactured parts (same as HKS) instead of the off-the-shelf Precision Turbos used by most of PHR's competitors. PHR kits are known for having extremely quick turbo spool yet producing as much power as more sluggish turbos like the T78 & T04R.

This is the exact same kit as the Stage 2, except for the turbo. This Stage 2+ (GT67) was originally tested by us here at ***. On one of our Supras it turned just under 700rwhp on a bone stock motor. We added an intake manifold & achieved 728rwhp. But its not the power that makes this turbo special, its the power you get for the small amount of lag. This turbo hit full boost at 4,300 RPM's, only 100 RPM's after the Stage 2, yet was capable of another 40rwhp on a stock motor. This turbo, in our opinion, is the ultimate street turbo. We've driven almost every turbo available on the market from the T78 to the SP66 to the T51R, and this is the best turbo for the street. It is the perfect combination of power & *TRUE* daily driveability.

The kit includes:

* Polished PHR Turbocharger - The Best
* HKS Genuine (not a knock-off like used in the Sound Performance or Boost Logic kits) Stainless Steel Tubular 50mm Single Turbo Header - The Best
* HKS GT Series Wastegate - The Best
* High-temp heat coating on the manifold, downpipe, midpipe, turbo exhaust housing, and dump tube - The Best
* 3" Steel Downpipe, Dump Tube, & 3" Midpipe (all heat coated). The Downpipe & Midpipe all have 3" V-bands making installation a breeze. All other brands of turbo kits use (much) cheaper flanges which always have a hard time matching up perfectly. A V-Band is circular allowing you to rotate the Downpipe in virtually any direction necessary which makes everything much easier, cleaner, and does not put stress on your turbo exhaust housing - The Best
* Custom made (not generic) & powder coated intercooler piping specific to your intercooler. Also this is the only piping on the market that goes direct from your FMIC to your Turbo without going through the fender. What this means to you is it is easier to install and more importantly a more direct route with less bends, thus making more power - The Best
* 4" Mandrel Bent Air Intake Piping, Powder Coated
* 4" K&N Air Intake
* All Stainless Steel Teflon Braided Lines with Earl's Fittings - The Best
* All Fittings, Hoses, Bolts, Filters, etc. Included

I was wondering if you could tell me what else is needed to run this on a MKIV supra.

I really appreciate your help

technically thats all you would need. a boost controler, ignition, fuel management, and intercooler would make it more complete but they are not absolutly necessary.

So the stock ignition, fuel injectors, and fuel pump can handle that kind of power? How much do aftermarket intercoolers cost roughly?
Thanks

P.S What do you all think about the supra stores turbo upgrade kits?

oops i left out the all important fuel system. that is one thing you will need to upgrade to get that power. ignition is a toss up, some people are able to do it, others arent. aftermarket fmic go for $900-$2000. the SS turbo kits are nice because everything comes ready to go but what i dont like is that you dont get to choose the parts you want, you are stuck with what they give you.
