i highly suggest a new turbo than the ones you listed. sound performance came out with their ssgt series turbos. the ssgt800w (i think thats the name) is what i would recomend for you. 800crank hp is what its rated for and it has anti-surge compressor (like the t51r) and spools fairly quickly. sp makes ssgt900w and bigger but the 800 would probably be best for street. i know when i go single ill be getting one of these bad boys.

I agree with supras_own_you on the SP, i dont think a T88 would be good for street very laggy.

the gt42r-71 is also a great choice for big street power. gt42s are also much more reliable than the precision (sp, bl) 71mm. or if you are loaded with cash this should be fun.

i hope you realize that the that the sp/bl/precision t71 is almost identical to the gt42r-71 except the garrett (gt42r) doesnt have the reliability issues associated with the precisions (boost control, poorly machined housing, etc). 71mm turbos are great for street use, 600whp on pump gas and 850whp on race gas and the dbb design allows for some good spool. add headwork/cams/valve springs and raise the rev limiter to 8000 or so and you have a nice power band from 4500-8000.

Its also recommended when adding on a larger turbo of those sizes that the head be ported and polished with the block bored to about 3.4 liters.
Turbo lag is basically non-existent and the power band is much more linear in respect to torque incline.

Those stroker kits are so expensive and I knew that but besides sp does precision offer a kit?

Well I had a 76s precision turbo.... The kit has very little lag and makes a ton of power.. I dyno'ed 965hp and that's with a few leaks.... but on the street it never was in lag 2nd gear at 55 stand on it and gone.... Mine suggestion is to buy a kit don't try to piece it together... if you own a supra do it right make sure everything fits up right and works together. Just buy one from WOTM or Virtual works or Titan or somewhere but if you want a lot of power keep the 60mm turbo's out and go with at least a 74 or 76... my two thoughts
